The Chain Gang of Love album by the Raveonettes is (still) a hit, I love the songwriting and storytelling and off course the guitars that go from all nice and mellow to completely deranged fuzz 'n feedback assaults at the drop of a hat 8)

I was listening to that albom last week, it's way better than "pretty in black" and I love the 'twanky' guitar in love in a trashcan.
...
Rob...

Love in a trash Can has great guitar tones indeed 8) (but it's from the Pretty in Black album). My favourites from Chain Gang of Love are the opening track, "Remember" and "Heartbreak Stroll".

Air has some good tunes too although I rarely manage to sit trough an entire album.

I think I may have got that bass ackwards as I was posting while doing what I'm being paid to do.

Air are a great way getting a calming influence while travelling back from work (after that I can decide what mood I'm really in and choose something more appropiate)

On the way home from work tonight I was listening to the Allman Brothers at the Fillmore- still brilliant after all these years.

My desert island album.  Never gets old.

Some other things that have entertained me recently:

Govt Mule - Deep end
Roy Buchannan - That`s what I`m here for
Hawkwind - Doremi fasol latido
T Bone Walker - Best of
Drive By Truckers - Decoration Day
Miles Davis - Kind of blue
Budgie -  An ecstasy of fumbling
Junior Watson - If I had a genie

+ A little Grant Green, some Albert Collins and always some Rory Gallagher.

,Damian.

Marvellous album isn't it Damien.
I see Budgie in your list- I was always impressed with the Wilfred Owen connection.

Budgie where one of only two gigs I have walked out of (the other was Runrig)

Happily in the case of Budgie I only went to see the support band anyway, who happened to be Berne Torme, who I have to say put on a great (but all too short) show.

Ah!  Should I even be surprised at this point that BKP users are people of taste? :)

I must have listened to "at filmore east" many thosands of times and every time is as good as the last.

Burke Shelley always had a way with words,  I guess thats what attracted him to WO.

Only 2, You`re lucky, I`ve walked out of loads.

Shame Budgie were disapointing.
I only saw them once , Reading festival `79 I thought they were pretty good but for me their early `70`s stuff is where it`s at.

Bernie Torme, I saw him a few times with Ian Gillan. Great player, what became of him?

Well, I guess it either means I have good taste or that I am very old!
