you kinda don't realise it until the day, which makes it hard to go anywhere  plus i probably exaggerated a bit, it's more than 5 days in a year, and often it's unbearably humid even when the weather is cr@p  ... we've actually had pretty good weather so far this year, this is the second heat-wavey kind of spell. But the humidity makes it unbearable. I actually think it's worse than england in that respect, even when I've been in england in heatwaves much hotter than it ever is here, it's been more bearable than here.

Yeah, humidity's a big problem in London as well - especially on the Tube, which is absolute torture from May to September (and isn't very pleasant the rest of the year either).  I grew up near the coast in South Wales and don't remember humidity ever being a problem..... although I course I wasn't a moany old git then.

People always go on about some hot countries having a "dry" heat which allegedly isn't so bad.  But I'm not about to find out.

yeah, if you ask me the humidity here is worse than london. Bear in mind, that's only from the ~3 weeks i've been in London. But it's never that hot here without being unbearably humid.

Looking good- especially the bulbous bit.
I'm sorry, I realise I'm a little late here, but I've never been quite sure which bit is the 'bulbous bit'... Is it the top horn?

got to love the bulbous bit.. roo does!

Here I go, resurrecting this thread again...

Just coming back to the neck-heaviness issue, I've been wondering if it's more down to the trussrod or the actual neck profile?  There's quite a lot more wood in a '59 Roundback than in a Standard Thin.

I was just looking on the Warmoth forum and apparently the dual-action rod only weighs 1.6 oz more than the vintage rod.  That's not a lot really, especially since it's distributed along the full length of the neck.

(Yes, I am trying to decide between a Vintage Modern and Warmoth Pro neck!  )

It's probably a combination of the two things Phil.  The neck was certainly noticeably heavier than its replacement.....
