Dude, how old are you?

They are still a great band and have been around a long time in oneform or another....
I used to go and see them when they were called Terraplane - back in 85/86

Great band![/i][/list]

I have always lived in London and to be fair I have always lived to go and see bands play - it was pretty much the most important thing for me over the years...
I started when I was 14 (1979) and am still doing it
During the mid 1980s I could be at the Marquee several times a week if there were a lot of bands I liked playing.....

I was looking through all my concert ticket stubs the other day and there are a lot of them........

Seems a lot more expensive to do these days though which is a shame

My dad is a huge Thunder fan, so I've went to see them a few times when they play Glasgow. Good live band, not something I listen to often though.

always liked Thunder, nothing flashy or gimmicky, just good, solid rock music.  Danny is looking a bit like a middle aged hairdresser, but then, he is middle aged! still sounds the part and that's the main thing.

I liked Thunder back in the day (oh the shame, heh) but the last two times I've seen them in recent years they were distinctly average - guitars sounded awfull (like a DI'd guitar) and they looked disinterested.

I saw them way back as terraplane as well when i went with a mate to see a non vegetarian bread based product (i'm feeling cryptic :) ) - and saw them after backstreet symphony which IMHO is a great blues rock album, although i was never a massive fan of the guitar sound...

I'd forgotten what a bloody great song "Love Walked In" is - and what a great singer Danny Bowes is.

I too go back to the Terraplane days (including that awful period when they went Britpop, had short hair and went on Saturday morning kiddies' shows), but I never actually bought any Thunder stuff, for some reason.

The new track is OK, but it does sound a bit too much like the blander end of Bad Company's repertoire.

Got to Meet them years ago when I kinda blagged my way onto the guestlist when a band called B.L.O.W. we're supporting them on tour at aheffield, lovely bunch of blokes & I actually got to hand luke morley one of his guitars at the side of the stage...his guitar tech wasn't very happy like...but I was verrry drunk at the time!

I believe I saw them about four times for between Laughing on Judgement day and Behind closed doors. They had some superb material. Back Street Symphony was always sweet and River of pain, great stuff. They seemed to tour with Skin alot, who I actually preferred as they had more guitar silliness. Alas they went the grungey route and ruined themselves :( . I think I last saw the Skin guitarist with Right said Fred...For shame!! And as for BLOW, That featured Bruce J Dickinson of the Little Angels, Now that was a sweet band.

They have aged better than two of the members of Badfinger. I meant that to be funny but it isn't really is it?

Let's be realistic - being in a rock band is hardly condusive to "aging well" :)  :) .

I think they look quite embryonic compares to this:- http://southdakotapolitics.blogs.com/south_dakota_politics/images/keithrichards.jpg

Some of Keef's quotes:-
"When I listen to what I did under the influence - 10 years of work - I don't think it either enhanced or impaired me. I didn't have that much to do with it. "
"I never thought I was wasted, but I probably was."
"I've never had a problem with drugs. I've had problems with the police."
"I only get ill when I give up drugs."
"As Charlie put it, 'One minute I'm standing at Ronnie Scott's getting a standing ovation and the next minute, I'm on a marble slab."
After being asked to "keep steady" by the producer of the last Pirates of the Carribean whilst they filmed him in his role as Johnny Depp's father, a very intoxicated Keith replied, "Look, if you wanted steady, you got the wrong f***ing guy." (Apparently some clips were filmed above waist height with someone crouching on the floor holding his legs steady

It's amazing how he seems to have transformed into a Native American.  And I'm not even joking, he looks like Chief Red Cloud:
