I was playing my SG with Warpig AV bridge and Mississippi Queen AV neck. I mostly play it in the middle position with both pickups engaged as I love their tone combined. I know lots of other people have this combination in their guitars too.
Which other BKP pickups are awesome paired together? Any oddities that "shouldn't work on paper" but sound excellent?
Lets discuss... :D

I love my warpig Bridge and crawler neck in my sg...shouldn't work I don't think

cold sweat neck with a nailbomb bridge work well together

I like my Rebel Yell bridge with Abraxas/Crawler neck - the output levels are a good match and I get a nice contrast between the punchy, edgy RY and the sweet, singing Abraxas. Middle position sounds good too, though I always tend to use individual pickups more.
Having said that, I've never tried the RY neck or the Abraxas bridge, so I can't say if the calibrated sets would sound "better".
On a 2-humbucker guitar (which a lot of mine are), I like quite a big difference in tone between the pickups - bright, snarly bridge but warm, fluffy neck. A lot of neck pickups sound a bit too bright and defined for me. The combination of an AV bridge and AIV neck seems to work really well.

Do you have any clips of this setup? I was thinking of getting a MQ in the neck of my LP, and a 'pig in the bridge sounds like a plan too :)

For all you strat players....
My favorite strat has 2 mothers milk and a sinner bridge. I love it. On paper I would consider the sinner to be too powerful but this combination works very well together. The sinner is awesome!!

Holydiver and 2 x Slowhand

My two favourites:
Warpig and irish tours
The pig gives tremendous power and matalability, whiile being very versatile, and the ITs give great blues sounds, cleans and a mid-pushed fairly high gain sound that goes well with the pig in tone and level.
Ceramic pig and cold sweat.
The Metalhead Special. Most powerfull, aggressive bridge pickup that screams and destroys and a neck thats great for shred and bell-cleans.

I want that combination.

I have two "opposites attract" setups:
One is a VHII bridge with Trilogy Suite neck and the other is a Miracle Man bridge with an Irish Tour neck.

Not a complete mis-match, but I'm loving my AIV Mule bridge/AIV Stormy Monday neck combination. I prefer a "lighter" neck tone and this works perfectly for me.
It's a lighter version of a Mule neck/Black Dog bridge combination......

I've got my 7-string waiting for an Abraxas/Mule combo. I don't think I've seen that anywhere, especially not in 7-string format. Gimme till sometime in January and I'll tell you how that works.

I currently have a LP equipped with Mule in bridge/Cold Sweat in neck..jury is still out..havent had the chance to pile drive it yet....at low volumes, there is a big difference in brightness(sweat is darker...find myself trying to turn up the tone control)...but...it is kind of cool as well...gives me a lot of range, fer sure!
