Title: Tim's opinion on 4 conductor sound options
Post by: octavio_amzer on November 11, 2007, 09:11:51 PM
Octavio:

How does the abraxas and cold sweat (both neck humbuckers in different guitars) sound with coil split? Or would they sound better with dual sound (parallel/series)? or another sound option I'm not aware of?

I also have 2 high gainers on the bridges (painkiller and nailbomb),
what do you recommend for them with 4 conductor sound options?

both guitars have 2 individual push/pull tone pots and a free master volume.

I want to achieve a nice Clean sound and have alot of versatility from them with a 4 conductor option.

thanks

Tim answered:

Both split. Well... necks always sound good in parallel too although I personally don't like parallel tone on bridges especially ceramic ones.

For the PK and NB bridges go with coil splits......you can even wire a coil split to a tone pot to achieve a variable split.

kind regards,
Tim
