Title: Right neck pickup choices
Post by: Transcend on November 21, 2007, 02:15:12 PM
right for my les paul with MM bridge im getting a cold sweat neck

however i now have my Vintage superstrat back with nailbomb bridge now

what would be a good neck pickup to match the nailbomb?? i dont want another cold sweat as i want the guitars to sound quite different.

i want a really open sound with smooth leads and a nice acousticy clean.

styles this guitar will be used for is my usual fare metallica megadeth children of bodom.

Remember i want it to sound quite different to the cold sweat.

guitar body is basswood witha  maple top and maple neck.

in your other thread you said the body was basswood???
I'm thinking a VHII would be nice in there. kinda just my gut instinct though - haven't played one for ages

I have a Cold Sweat neck in a basswood body guitar with a Nailbomb bridge and the combo works really well.
