Title: Miracle man set for Jem ?
Post by: Dazza1004 on November 29, 2007, 08:50:03 PM
I always though the breeds in my Jem were really good, after playing my bkp loaded les paul tonight I just cannot stand them any longer

The LP has a cold sweat / rebel yell set in there. The rebel yell is a good bridge pick up but the cold sweat in the neck is amazing. In contrast, the breeds just sound buzzy

I have a nail bomb set in my RG550 which I also love and a holydiver set in my strat which I am very happy with.

I am unsure what to replace the breeds with, I was leaning towards the miracle man set but Tim suggest a ceramic warpig may be the one to go for.

Without trying to sound too corny I am shooting for that "guitar hero" tone, think the top gun theme but a bit more saturated (I have got a serious 80's thing going on at the moment !!)

Cheers

check my miracle man clip. I believe they may be exactly what you are looking for.

just note the leads were done using the stock agile pickup. But a cold sweat in the neck would get this tone but better i should imagine

and you are welcome
