Title: Another metal Mule clip
Post by: _tom_ on November 30, 2007, 10:50:33 PM
HC Drum Jam time again and I really have nothing better to do so thought I might as well post this up. Playings a bit sloppy in places, but I like the intro riff :P

V-Amp 2 again, Soldano model, which doesnt sound too bad if you double track it actually.

Cheers

Awesome stuff man.

I'm very very close to ordering a set of BK's for the burny and this is confusing me between Mules and VHII. If it wasn't for your mule clips I would probably still think they for classic rock and classic rock only.

I think Tom just keeps proving how versatile the Mule really is. Nice one Tom!

If I remember right, Tim used a Mule on that Iced Earth recording he posted up a while back so it can definitely do metal if the amp and booster (if you like that kinda thing) are right.

I actually prefer this V-Amp 2 recorded tone to my amps recorded tone atm, my mic technique has gone to cr@p as I havent done it since at least September and cant mic up without sounding fizzy and shite :(

I'm sure that it was in the Time Out forum, a clip of one of the new Iced Earth songs that Tim played on?

Tim played on the recent Iced Earth EP before the full length CD Framing Armageddon was released.

It's great to hear some heavier mule clips!

I love the way they always sound clean, even when pushed hard, p.s if you are thinking of changing from standard humbuckers to mules, prepare to be blown away! They sound more organic than any other pickups tim makes, which means you can add compression later, instead of compressing the poo out of your amp with higher output p/ups.

Yep :) I put a Rebel Yell in my strat but its just not as good as the Mule in my LP. Think my strats going to go back to SSS with a booster for now, unless someone wants to swap a Rebel Yell for a Mule?
