Title: cosmetic question (help meee!)
Post by: the_bleeding on December 07, 2007, 08:52:43 AM
I posted this on the HCAF a while ago, so sorry if this is old news.

I'm going to be purchasing a new guitar soon (white bc rich mockingbird special) and i was hoping for some opinions involving cosmetics for pickups.

What to people tihnk about zebra (creme/black) pickups in white guitars? This guitar is going to be SNOW white, stock with covered chrome pickups, and im going to be replacing the bridge with something open coiled (because i like the sound better). So would you guys go for the zebra or no?

side note: i'm goin for a vintage/retro vibe. Not a fan of modern lookin stuff.

thanks guys, you're always a big help.

It should look good.

But it depends how cream the cream part of the Zebra is, and how white the guitar is.

If they clash too much, I'd steer clear.

Personally, I'd rather go with matte black pickups with allen bolts for a white guitar.

well for god's sake why are you eyeing up a snow white mockingbird? there's a lot of classic models from BC Rich that nail that vibe. I'm biased because i hate properly white guitars - they look like chavs, and chavs aren't vintage. And yes a cream/black zebra would look ridiculous
