Well i am new in BK pickups
so i hope you could give me a little help
I have this Epiphone Les Paul STD
which need new pickups, the originals are to lame
so i play the classic rock/blues stuff, zeppelin, stones,GN'R , clapton and with a little punk
i use a Vox Cambridge 30Reverb Twin
so the pickups i'm looking for is that vintage rock/blues with some power to play little punk
which of the humbuckers should i get ?

I'm just tossing out a wild guess, but if it was up to me, I'd go with Rebel Yells ;)
-
OK, what do you think about BlackDog/VHII ?
-
I know this is boring -- 'cause they always get mentioned -- but shouldn't Mules (once again) be just right for these sorts of tones?
-
Just go for Mules.
-
Mules would be able to capture a whole range of stuff above.
-
Yea, the Mules are those pickups that can do anything when used right.
I just tossed out the Rebel Yells cuz from Steve Steven's sticky clip, I could totally see them doing great punk stuff as Stefanio had mentioned.
-
I'd go for Mules. I have them in my Epiphone LP and a Rebel Yell in my strat, and the Mule'd LP sounds so much better - Rebel Yell is a bit too "modern" sounding for my tastes and has loads more output.
-
mules. hell, let's just get rid of this forum and have an "ask jeeves"-esque search engine that always gives the answer "MULES!"
-
Well thanks , i think the mule should do the trick
:D
-
I think you'll like it - very nice PAF flavour pickup that will nail all your classic rock and bluesy needs, whilst still having the power in the mids to push through and give some oomph to your punk.
-
just to agree with the others. the best choice is certinally mules this time... i mean its always a good choice, but seems like it would be perfect for you ;)

Heh, good thing there are lots of people around here to set my noobish comments straight
