Hey guys!

Ive been looking into BK pickups for some time now, and have finaly decided that i need to replace my Gibson SG's bridge humbucker...

I most play Punk and Ska...with a hint of metal in the mix occasionaly!

Ive been talking to Jon Dailey from the ska-punk band 'No Comply' recently and he suggested that Nailbombs would probaly be the right selection, seeing as he uses them, and i would like to achieve a similar tone to him...

And i was just wondering if this would be a wise descision? Or maybe another pickup would be better suited to my style? Maybe the infamous Warpig, but im not sure how versitile it is...

Hi Minty, welcome.

A Warpig for ska? It'll do great metal and has good cleans but I wouldn't use it for ska.

I think you should look in the direction of Mules, Riff Raffs or Crawlers.

Personally I would say Riff Raffs. They go well with SG's (obviously), Very nice bright cleans and slightly more agressive with overdrive than the Mule. And we all know the Mule can do some serious metal when asked to.

Maybe if you could post a link to some music that has the tone you're after, suggestions would be easier to make.

Marshall JCM900, Gibson SG Standard...


And i think his settings are:
bass 10
middle 2
treble 6
gain 9
