A cream coloured British Blue. The new woman in my life and I picked him up last Friday. He is playing non stop at the moment!
-
OH
MY
GOD.
It's just so cute......
-
it is cute... but it wont be long till you are having to pick klingons off its arse. Long haired cats are not built to poo, just a shame no-one told them that!!
still got to be better than a dog though!!!
edit. Just googled british blue. Short haired breed, alfie looks a lot fluffier. Maybe he will be alright once he's lost the kitten fluffiness
-
That will please her!!
-
How lovely !
( Although I am rather predudiced in favour of all things feline of course ) .
May you enjoy a long and happy life together.
:D
-
I know I've already posted but...
Can I hug it.... please?
-
Too cute Johnny......
-
Wow, cute! 8) Cats rule.
-
Beautiful little chappie there Johnny. We had a beautiful Russian Blue until earlier in the year when she lost an argument with a car  Kittens are just so much fun. Cat loving guitarists should rule the world.
-
I remember her 38th! Another uber-cute kittie...
-
Thanks fellas! I'm sure his new Mum would be chuffed to bits with these comments :D He is a bit bigger now and runs around like a looney for hours, then sleeps on your head purring like a motorbike!

Yes I remember mate, I hope things are better for you and Mrs 38th now.
The world would be better place with more cats and guitars!
-
Oh man, he's cute! :D
When I saw the thread I thought perhaps you'd had a kiddie, Johnny.
The world would be better place with more cats and guitars!
+1. And dogs. I love them too.
-
Don't make me wish a cat!
hehehehehe
-
That is so cute.
-
I prefer Dogs,
Black Dogs.
However, a Hellcat might be nice, too.
-
very cute :)

Love cats ! Far better than Dogs.
:D 8)

+1 on the love for cats.
And that Kitten is gorgeous! Reminds me of a classic quote that my wife has pinned to our fridge
"Anyone who says you can't buy happiness has forgotten kittens!"
That's as cute as our Birman was when we had him, thankfully at nearly 3 years old he's still cute but just one hell of a lot bigger (5.3kgs and he's solid too.....just a big cat!). He has resulted in one change though............
My V had it's tuners changed from Klusons to Grovers because it sits next to the piano. The Grovers keep it in tune better, but they also have one major advatage............he can't sit on the piano and chew the tuning heads like he could on my Klusons! The metal kidney beans are resistant to idiotic cats who will try anything to see if it's possibly edible!
-
Adorable. Always been fond of cats......and dogs......er parrots too although the three don't mix well.
I also used to keep tropical fish, then I went to uni and when I came back home from the 1st term all the bar-stewards were swimming upside down....

should have asked someone to feed them!! .
had loads of pets over the years, vermin and reptiles, cats and dogs and all sorts
we used to have a tortoise when i was very young. I remeber my Dad telling me that it had run away. As a very young infant i never thought to question this strange image.
Its not till i was down the pub with my dad a few years ago that i realised the truth - - - I dont know why but i mentioned the tortoise that ran away and my dad couldnt stop laughing, he couldnt believe i as a 24 yr old could still believe it. turns out it died during hibernation. Anyway, the point is that you shouldnt lie to your children - they may grow up deluded about the average land speed of a tortoise like me

 That brought back memories! My cat used to come in and rub his nose on mine to wake me up. Then that must've eventually stopped working, because he started scratching my nose instead. It's amazing what you'll put up with from pets.
-
Awwwww.....
So cute...
-
I have the fun of looking after the "playing with ribbon" needs of this hairy monster for the next 10 days - my stepcat Sylvie (cat belongs to Ms Feline):

Should be fun -

She looks very nice Jonathon!

Try not to eat wet food and biscuits at the same time - works with dogs!
-
This is a not so cute pic of mine and Ailean's cat Axos
-
This is him and his brother Sutekh back when they were cute.
Oh..... the're still cute sometimes, but bigger.
-
That is a scary picture-I am gonna have nightmares tonight.
-
Look at it from my point of view he sleeps on my bed PDT_037
-
Here are my two. technically there names are Syd and nancy but we just call them big cat and little cat most of the time - they are sisters but one was the runt and is still a lot smaller
(http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e31/WezV/amp1.jpg)
they were hand reared from a few days old so are far too stupid for their own good. I am going to have to get a video of little cat chasing a torch light.... hours of fun!!!
-
Have you tried a laser pen? It's the ultimate cat remote contol.
-
We have a little device that spins a laser point around for half an hour.......
Keeps our younger one interested for the whole time. The older cat just looks at him as if he's gone loony! :P
-
There's a lot of cat fans in here!
I wonder why guitar players and cats go well together?
-
Here's one of our little monsters

For those who remember, I lost two cats this year, one to a car and the other to old age.The replacements were both rescue cats and we called them Millie and Loretta and their history is unknown other than they were both strays and were both traumatized. Both have settled in well though are still very nervous of strangers. Millie was, we think, a runt as she is so small however she eats like a horse and has become a bit of a pudding and so she is off weight watchers this new year.

It's because of one of my cats that I can't leave my guitars out. He has an obsession with trying to eat my strings when he thinks I'm not looking. He puts all his consderable Strength into biting and pulling on the strings. If the guitar is still plugged in he can produce some interesting sounds. The cost of the strings I can live with but he puts so much force into it that I'm scared he will damage his teeth. So if he is around I have to keep the guitar in it's case, or in my hands.
-
He can't be doing the guitars' paintwork much good either - or do you look on those scratches as "battle scars"?
-
He would be good at aging relics!
-
So far he has not done any perminant damage to a guitar but only due to my constant vigulence.
-
Here's a few Alfie updates!
He is very hard to photograph as he runs around like a looney!

I sometimes wonder about evolution. OK, our planet's creatures have evolved with various characteristics to deal with their environment - the climate, natural resources, prey, predators etc etc. That all makes sense.
But why oh why are cats so CUTE? :?
-
But why oh why are cats so CUTE? :?
Because they have dogs to compete with :P
-
I love that picture of him with his little tongue out !
-
Guys... It's serious I can't take care even of ME, imagine about a little cat... So stop making me wish one! :D
-
Kittens are the coolest things ever, and so cute. Make the most of the kitten era, they just grow up so fast :D .
Jonathan Morris would say that we find kittens cute because they have a lot of features (big eyes, fur, etc) in common with what our babies would have looked like when we were monkeys. We are programed to instictively go soppy and want to protect them , it's an instict that ensured our species was sucessful.
-
ah.. the tongue sticking out in concentration look, thats what happens to me when doing inlay!!

Makes a lot of sense. But I'm going to assume you meant Desmond Morris

That's a bloke?
EDIT: After a few minutes more of looking, I suppose he does sort of look like one.
-
Could it have been Johnny Morris from Animal Magic?
It's a good theory though!
Yes the tounge out in concentration made me chuckle!

I think it could have been Chris Morris!
Those pictures are good, looks like a really nice cat :) When i get a place of my own, a cat or two is on the list of things to get :)
-
Yes OK OK DESMOND Morris, dont milk it :)
-
So... How are his claws?
The claws of Axos are deeply embedded into the earths carcass.

Oh well no more playing with Alfie for me! I split with his mum last weekend after her mask of pretence slipped and revealed her ugly innards! A spoilt princess obsessed by material things, money and comparing herself to others. I just hope she looks after little Alfie properly as the silly cow has just spent over 200 quid on a Tiffany's solid silver ID tag on a jewel studded collar. She won't let him out either. This all came about because "I forgot to bring wine!"
Anyway had a blinding Jam Wednesday night and me and the boys are going to sound proof a shed very soon so that beats listening to some primadonna harping on about Harvey Nichols 150 quid facials any bar-steward day of the week!
-
Sorry to hear that mate..
If you like I could organise an "extraction" - You keep the cat.. I keep the £200 Tiffany ID tag..
If I remember rightly you can't legally claim to own a cat anyway so whomsoever little Alfie "chooses" to live with is a matter of proximity.
p.s. I'm only interested in the silver ID tag on libertarian moral grounds.. not fiscal.. I would never think of pawning it and buying a Holy Diver set.. no never crossed my mind...

Cheers Dave, we both keep doing this don't we!!
Well she paid for him, 400 quid he was so i'm not contesting, nor I'm I going to scale a government building dressed as batman in protest of fathers rights! I bought all his toys but she can keep them all as a reminder of my good nature! The poor lad will probably suffer from obesity soon as she's already giving him everything she shouldn't despite me and the vet saying other wise but what can you do. Birds with egos the size of small islands know everything because they have all the best clothes and work in posh offices. Oh yes she can still be a Doctor or a Dancer if she wants to, she told me. So cake is good for him as far as she's concerned. What a $%ingidiot!!
-
^
Dave and Johnny you remind me of some twisted version of Superman and Louis Lane... (I'll leave it to you to figure out who's who in that duo  )
Anyway, bad luck (or possibly good luck... glass half full/empty scenario!) about that Johnny. At least you got out while you could; Alfie will have to endure it for a lifetime, bless. He's the cutest kitten I've ever seen!
-
It's a good thing Sambo believe me!
-
That bad, eh?
-

Yes, the most deluded head up her arse cloud cuckoo land prat I've ever lusted over. I'm a sucker for a fit harris and 41 year old women don't normally have one. Anyway on a good note her Hollywood looks inspired me to give up smoking so it had it's good points. Not that she ever knew I smoked in the first place!
-
Get yourself another kitten Johnny.

Well Jonathon is making me a Lion, so that'll do me nicely!!
