Did anyone have to format the drive that appeared when you plug your USB cable into the computer?
After Title Edit: Now it keeps saying 'Unformatted' if I try to export or back up or anything. Plus I can't even get my recordings off it.
Another Edit After Title: ....

I have a BR-900 and I didn't get a message to format a drive when I hooked up a USB cable.
-
This is so god damn annoying.
First guitar, now the recorder! ARGH!
I just love one $%ing problem one after another..
EDIT: 2 seconds after - It works.. Someone's testing me.. :|

:(
My BR600 is borked. I can't get files onto my computer..
-
Were you able to get files transferred via USB before?
-
I have heard that transferring files was hard with these boss things, micro BR up to the bigguns's.
I shall ask a friend who owns one (900 though) for some guidance if he comes online at some point.
Don't get too down, whatever it is, it can be easily fixed, at worst you will lose the guitar track you have on there at the moment

Nope.
I recorded. And even optimised etc. Everything that I could, just to test if it worked. And it hasn't.
-
Transferring files - via USB - hasn't been a problem for me but it needs to be done in a certain manner.
I have a BR-900 but I assume the procedure will be the same to transfer from the BR-600 to your PC, as it is on the 900.
That's why I was interested to know if Aaeder has actually managed to transfer a file already, or it had stopped working after being able to transfer before.

Ah ok. I'll have a look at my 900 procedure and see if I can help.
Just one question though ... Have you bounced your recorded track yet?

Is that what you have to do? oO
-
PM sent.
To be honest when I've recorded I've always bounced to a different track (track seven / eight master)
-
My PM seems to be sitting unsent .... I'll post it here, in case there's a problem.
"Hi
I'm assuming you have a PC and not a Mac. I'll also try not to sound as if I'm an expert.. because I'm not I've only had my 900 for a month.
On the 900 I do it like this.
Press UTILITY.
Select USB. Select EXPORT. Select WAV.
You then get asked where you want to export from. This caught me out the first time I did it as i had recorded to tracks 1/2 and bounced them to tracks 7/8.
You need to select the track that you've recorded to or 'bounced' to.
Once you have the right track just press ENTER.
After that your unit will talk to your PC and the transfer will go ahead.
Your PC will recognise your BR-600. Go to MY COMPUTER and open the BR-600 icon and then open the USB folder.
You then need to drag the WAV file out and put it in a folder you have prepared for it.
That's basically it.
I hope it helps but please get back to me about anything and I'll try to help."

All of it worked!
And P.S. I would have replied but when I was typing the message the power cut because of all the snow, LOL
-
Good to hear you're up and running :D
