Its meant to snow here soon, it tried earlier but the flakes werent big enough and there werent enough so it didnt settle.

Belfast is covered with a beautiful white carpet of snow, sufficiently thick that I probably won't be able to get to work tomorrow, provided it freezes just a wee bit tonight!
There's about a foot of snow atop the furniture etc. in my garden, and the road outside has not a trace of tarmac showing.
Snow on, ye boy ye!!!

You live in Belfast!? Woot. Whereabouts? :O

It's -2F here with 35mph winds ... no snow, but brutally cold!!

Hehe, one time when I still lived in Canada, I had some friends visiting from Portugal, and I blew their minds by standing outside in a t-shirt and jeans in about -20C.
What they didn't realize is that there was no wind.
But that's ok, cuz after I'd been out there like 30 seconds, a little gust picked up and I damn near soiled myself trying to scramble back in to the house...

Finaghy, in general. In other words, I'm neither hard enough to live in Taughmonagh, nor arsey enough to say "Upper Lisburn Road".
How about yerself, sir?
-
Here is something about 35º to 40ºC... Like: you sweat IN THE SHOWER...
How much I miss the London cold
-
Just as the snow started in Lisburn all the power went off, it was fecking cold for those few hours.
Not so bad this morning (the snow is still lying), but it took almost 2 hours to cover 12 miles to work.
I love snow but hate the fact that 4 inches of snow brings everything to a halt (all the buses in Belfast are canceled, as are most of the busses in the outlying area)

:o Holy cr@p, I practically live right next to you! Awesome!
Oh and a further update on the snow, yesterday the power went out, lol.. and today all I'm hearing is the snowing rumbling down my roof. Fun. My mum and dad had to walk 3 miles to work. Ha. :D

This has worked out somewhat perfectly. A full bus service has finally been restored, just in time for it to be a complete waste of effort to go to work, and neatly clearing the motorway for me mates to come up to Belfast for a few beers tonight.
Again, Result!!!
