shitee, it came out of my Charvel, like just slidout as if there was no tread for it. It also keeps the neckbolted on. I have screwed it back in, and it seems ok, but if it comes out again, should I use some kind of glue? I have no interest of ever removing the neck, if that helps.

Some toothpicks and wood glue will sort that out. It'll happen again if you don't fix it now.....
-
so is it like a neck screw that goes through a strap button?
thats a bit more worrying because maple necks (i presume thats what it is) shouldnt strip out as easily.
Either way the toothpick will see you right - just dont pour loads of glue in the hole because it might make removing the neck a problem later. A little smear on the toothpick should do

What exactly am I doing with the toothpick

put it in the hole where the screw was
matches also work (without heads)
then put the glue on it and screw your sscrew back in
-
Ah ok. The whole toothpick/ headless match?

just enough to make it so you can screw it together firmly.
its basically just to fill the hole in,

It's a quick-easy replacement to put wood where there wasn't, then screw the screw back in.
Which sounds like a sexually inneuendo.

Cheers guys, these insider tricks are really helping :D
