Very interesting but at that price it seems too good to be true.

Must have started life as a Fender Blues Junior?  From the price, it must have been a used one.

That's REALLY cheap.  Too cheap?  Could be worth a punt though......

He's been on eBay quite a while now, and all his feedback's positive.

He does other models based on Epi VJs and Harley Benton GA5s.  The price varies depending on how extensive the mods are - some have a "Power Brake" control rather than Power Scaling, and they don't all have upgraded speakers or transformers.  So in effect you can choose the features to suit your pocket.  It's quite intriguing.

I asked him if he had more of them and he said that is the last amp of his that will feature Power Scaling apparently.

sgmypod, I'm in a worse position. I can actually afford one at the moment making it harder to resist pressing that BIN button.

Did he say why? Presumably because it has to be licensed from London Power?  Or does he think the Power Brake is better?

London power scalling is the best easily, it sounds really weird that he said this is the last amp to use power scalling?

His prices are amazingly low it generally costs about £100 just for the power scalling kit, even more to have it installed.

I would actually love to hear what these amps sound like can one of the more well off forumers buy one to test it for the rest of us?

Anyway will e-mail him I think to see exactley what hes all about.

Sorry I think I misinterpreted his reply. He meant that was the last one of THAT amp that will be available with PS. Which probably means he'll do more but with other amps.

"Hi - The Amp WAS a 'Shine' before I got my hands on it. This is the Last and only one that will be available with Power Scaling. Thanks Andy"

i Find His capital Letters even More annoying!!

and yes the guitar in my avatar is my SG1000 from the early eighties. :D It's rapidly becoming my No.1 guitar. It's not very heavy at all which was surprising and it's resonant as hell. Just needs to be BKP'd.
