Title: Apache Set in Tokai Strat
Post by: hunter on January 12, 2008, 08:46:10 AM
Maple Neck strat, Apache set RWRP, Nickel Plate on Bridge SC, Foil Caps, CTS Pots. Bogner Shiva, Diamond Drive and some Lexicon MX200 rooms.

Unfortunately I have no dynamic mic at the moment, instead this is with a condenser in the room, so the usual directness of the sound is not there, I will provide more clips once that issue is sorted.

Clip 1: High Gain Solo with Comfi aNumb backing track

Clip 2: Some crunchy picking

Clip 3: Clean, Under the Bridge Intro in all 5 strat positions

Clip 4: Cleanish, Wall Pt2 without backing track

Untill the last clip you werent able to get me into a 'i must have a set of those' mood, but now you did. Allthough im OK with the SC's i have now, the clarity and sweet singing twang is just so 'BKP' again, and i just know im gonna love 'em just as much as my Mules.

Now ive got the GAS again......... :?

Clip 3 had me drooling, O WOW!!  Clip 4 was GORGEOUS.  I would love BKPs more if i had the money to buy them all; because i don't, every time i know i can't have them all, i feel this little twinge of disgust for them.    :D

Those cleans are just fantastic. I have just got in from a gig where my Apaches were giving me a great tone.We do a few blues songs and they excel. They just keep getting better and they respond so well to playing dynamics.

Indeed it is.

I've just got my ebay special 84-87 MIJ Fender strat set up and cleaned. I'm already perusing the players section looking at the BKP single coil options  :D

The stock pups are surprisingly good but I just know that the sound I'm after isn't in the stock pups.

The clips sound great - all of them -  and that makes Apaches the frontrunner in my head for now.

Wow. All those were amazing, when i get a stratocaster, i originally had plans to get a set of irish tours for it, but after hearing those i think apaches would be in order. Great clips
