Many thanks to Henk for the tip that I need to adjust my pickup height, it was indeed "off".
I think now I got it quite right. Realising that SCs can take much more effects level before they get muddy, I think that's pretty much the right amount of FX for this solo ... hmm, whatever, it's FUN!
Here's the clip. Solo played in positions 2 and 4 of my maple neck Tokai Strat, at the end I switch to the bridge (pos.1) and dial back the guitar volume a tick...

Hunter if you like those Gilmourish. You must check out this
http://skreddypedals.com/skreddy_pedals_lunar_module.htm
Its a line of pedal wif mean fuzz ('Top Fuel' and 'Lunar Module') and can do Gilmour well. The "Screwdriver" on the other hand is a more versatile dirt pedal. It does mean Led Zepp tones and also much more. Do check them out :)

Sounds really good hunter, better than any strat I've played, but then again I wasnt playing through a bogner or whatever you use :P
I think if I ever get a strat I'll get some apaches.

Cheers! Sounds absolutely PRO Hunter!
Some SC's do cut like a razor trough a mix(some dont though), but the mules do that too, great stuff for recording or using alot of effects ( which is basically the same i guess).
