it has a one pece wenge neck, south american mahogany back and flame maple top. its going to have (eventually) an MQ in neck with an engraved nailbomb in bridge, volume per pickup and master tone. Gotoh 510 tuners and gotoh hardtail.

Phwoar...
Amazing!!!
-
Incredible looking guitar there but I can't help feeling that gold hardware would just perfect for the body colour?
In any case I'm sure it'll look even more amazing when finished :D
-
That is unbelieveably gorgeous.
-
Very nice, also like the fact that you're not gonna put the usual tune-o-matic/stoptail or a wraparound but a fixed strat type bridge on it. Makes it even more unique.
-
Excellent -looking very good.
-
i think i prefered the colour of the first one you did but the design has definately come a long way.... the swoosh interupts the design less. Loving the wenge neck!!!
-
So much talent! Makeh me feel so useless!
Great stuff, always good to have a sneak preview of guitars in the making. Can't wait to see it finished (but I bet you're even more keen for that, right? :))

:aww:
WOW, now thats a looker, a 10 for the body!
Just a small point, are you planning on filling/sealing the fretboard? Wenge pores are a huge crud and snazzle magnet.
-
the neck is sealed with danish oil and the fingerboard is lightly oiled. it should be ok i think, plus if it gets wiped down regularly it will be fine.
thanks for all the comments everybody
-
Looks gorgeous- the kind of guitar you really want to pick up and play :) Shape wise it puts me in mind of a Chris Larkin ASAD range which I have been GASing over for a long old time...
-
Very nice, I really like all the rounded edges on the back. Looks as comfy as an old pair of slippers.
-
You like your curves :D
I like the color, is that the final or are you going to do anymore to the color? It'll be a masterpiece once it's finished. :)
-
looks great!
-
thats it as far as finish goes. it just needs wiring and any tweaks to the frets that might be needed.
-
now that is what I call class! I hope you intend to use this guitar.
-
i intend to use it until i can sell it to fund making the next one which will be rather different from this one i think. thats if i can sell it. if not, i'll just have to dream about making another
-
well i got the qoute - the cover design for this one would cost £75 to convert to dxf file!!!! and the design for another one is £175!!!!!!!!
so iv downloaded an autocad thingy and will try to do a dxf file myself as i really cant be affording that on top of the pups
-
finally ordered the pickup for this one today. woo! cant wait.
i put the bridge on and the two e strings to fit the nut and see if any frets needed looking at and everything is coolies, so im just waiting on my pickups then its done
-
Looks amazing, should be awesome with the engraved pickups in there.
Looking to mic nailbombs and mississippi queen on a guitar I'm planning to get built, should be a really nice combo I think.
-
Make sure to get some finished pics when its done!
This thing's a stunner!

Awesome!
Very pretty!
How much would one of those set me back?
-
How's the bridge sound? I had heard that without polepieces, it reduced the output? What Pickup you got in there too?
Nice work!
-
Nice!
:D
-
thanks guys
will - its a nailbomb. this is the first nailbomb iv used so i couldnt tell you if the cover makes a difference or not, but it sounds rather yummy
noodleplugerine - this particular one would be £1650. the same guitar with a mahogany neck would be £50 cheaper
-
What are the tonal qualities of the Wenge necks? Simply gorgeous wood, that nice rich chocolaty color! Not a fan of the headstock; i mean, i just think it is a little too pronounced, for me it would have to be a much more subtle "swirl". I $%in love the body work, wow - that's all i have to say. Generally gorgeous all around! What is that little notch at the end of the fretboard for?
-
the notch at the end of the fretboard is for the truss rod adjustment, though to be honest i dont think its ever gonna need it - did move a fraction of a mm when i put the strings on.
-
NIce guitar!!! :D
Didn't knew that Tim would make pickups without polepieces :? I would love if he does it in single-coils!

I thought as much, but what kind of truss rod are you using? I am probably not familiar with this kind.
-
its a spoke wheel

Its a really nice looking guitar. I am sure the sound is awesome.
