And it was awesome!
It was my first gig for a paying audience so i was a bit nervous but once i was on stage it was all good.
I thought that the Gibson humbucker would start to go a bit thin when the amps were cranked like it did with my Laney at home but it surprised me, might have been the amp that made it sound like that though. Also, It's a comfy guitar, nice and light and easy to play :)
I think there could still be some more life in the tone but apart from that i'm happy with it, the scratches don't really bother me anymore you can't really see them under the lights anyways.

Top stuff Joe :)
Get it BKP'd and gig the hell out of it ;)

i also think SGs are fun and easy to play ;)
i take it you didn't use the laney at the gig?
glad you like your guitar now!

Nah i was using a Fender, still sounded alright though.

A Gibson guitar through a Fender amp is normally a great combination. Well done Joe.

Good stuff. I just got my SG back from being Plek'd , the action and playability are now superb. Yes, it is BK'd!

Nice to hear a happy end to an ebay incident
I know what you mean now with an SG. My local store has a slightly battered natural finish Gibson SG for sale at £400.
Even though it's fitted with EMG pup's it played and sounded excellent.
I'm very, very tempted to just get it
... and get a set of Riff Raff's for it.

Nice one Joe! :D
