Anyone have any experience with Epiphone Valve Junior's (stack version). I just got my Mules in last week and, despite the fact that they are the best pickups I have ever heard, the neck tends to get a bit too dark and fat when overdriven. Clean it sounds great but as I start to creep the drive knob up it starts getting a bit muddy. This is an EVJ problem, not a pickup problem. Has anyone tried any of the upgrades that brighten this thing up a bit? Advice?

i have it, but haven't tried any mods.

i think ratrod tried one of the bitmo kits, and from what i remember, said it helped and he could use his neck pickup again. maybe you could message him.
