What do you guys think of this combination? I have a USA Faded Blue Denim Dean Hardtail and now I have the cash to buy some bareknuckles. It's all mahogany with a carved maple top. Similar to a PRS/Les Paul. Tone pros bridge, ebony board, 22 frets and 24.75 scale. I play through a Rivera K-Tre head and an orange 2x12..I really dislike the duncans that are in this guitar. I feel like they are kind of muddy and lack tightness. I thought they were a jb/59 combination but I seem to remember liking the JB a lot more before I got this particular guitar. It's an awesome guitar though with a lot of potential. Better than any PRS I have ever played.
I really think my musical taste is pretty eclectic, but when I'm alone I tend to do a lot of soloing and improv. Not always shred mind you. I do like to play around with cleans and jazzy stuff. I guess think between the buried and me for an example...although I hate trying to compare myself to other peoples sounds. I go from heavy as hell death metal to clean emotive passages. I even dabble in heavier southern rock (think down) and bluesy licks.
Anyways, wit the bridge I want something that will give me immense pinch harmonics and a great deal of output and clarity. With the neck I'd like a really warm but shred worthy tone. From what I'm reading that Miracle Man and Cold Sweat combo might be just the ticket.
What's everyone elses opinion? I was originally going to go with a warpig ceramic and the coldsweat, but I'm not sure anymore. Plus I was looking at musictoys.com and the 150 a piece for the pickups seems pretty decent compared to some other places I've looked. I'm in the USA.
Any advice is welcome!

Hey there mate,
First off, welcome!
I'm nowhere near as experienced with BKs as some of the other on here.
To me, sounds like the Miracle Man would be great for you, so long as you're fine with sticking to modern tones.
I'm sure the CS would be a good choice as well, but you may want to consider the Nailbomb neck. It's quite PAF-y but stays super-defined under gain.
Before making any decision though, I'd urge you to send Tim an email with as much detail about the sound you want. Tim ALWAYS knows best.
Good luck finding your perfect pickups, you're certainly looking in the right place ;).

Oh yes, I'm writing him an E-Mail as we speak..trying really hard to tell him what I want. It's so hard to put into words! :x Also yeah I'm good with staying with modern tones on this axe...later on I'll get another guitar expressly for vintage tones or make this my vintage guitar. It's not exactly the most metal-esque guitar as far as looks..but that's kind of what I'm going for haha.

Just write what you've put in your original post. Maybe chuck in a few more examples of guitarists whose tone you like.
Let us know what he recommends!
