which I could find in UK guitar shops? I want to test them out before buying :)
Thanks
-
the only guitars that ive ever seen with bks stock are the ones made by people on this board
-
As far as I know there are no mainstream companies that fit BKP's as stock pickups.
Put a post up with enough details for the more experienced forum members to recommend some BKP's for your guitar, style of play etc
Or contact Tim (the owner) directly and have a chat with him?

Now now .. Be nice
It's a valid question. The answer may be that Tim knows of a few places that might have BKP fitted guitars for testing?
-
organic guitars, blackmachine guitars, manson guitars all have BKPs in them stock I think. Although i don't think any are crawlers or mules...
-
Some Eggle models wher supplied with BK pickups (but I think they where only P90 models)

You could always wait until LGS and try there?!
-
Yep, LGS or a friendly board member are your best options :)
-
Is LGS the London guitar show? It might be a bit of a trip...
The sort of sounds I really dig would be most of Aerosmith's 'Rocks' and Thin Lizzys 'Live and Dangerous', as well as some of Slash's lead sounds :) .
So far I've been recommended mules, which I've heard a couple of clips which sounded great, and I also listened to the Crawler clips which sound nice too
Another thing, any artists who use Mules or Crawlers? The clips on here are good, but my computer speakers suck, and it'd be nice to get a couple of CDs where I can hear how they sound :)
 at the unicorn comment

forgot to mention, this is more about the bridge pup really, I think I'm pretty set on a stormy monday in the neck

When I had my crawlers installed in my LP, the guy in the shop (Custom shop, Pigalle, Paris) told me "Yeah, BKP Crawlers huh? we dropped the same set in Lenny Kravitz's Vee...He swapped out the Mules for Crawlers"
-oh yeah, you can find some pics of this vee in this board's 'gallery' -
EDIT: her you go:

I have a Riff Raff bridge with a Stormy Monday neck in a Les Paul. This was the combination that Tim came up with to give more drive from the bridge pickup. I also have an Emerald/Mule combo in a Zemaitis Metal Front clone. This nails the Still In Love With You tone and is great for things like Mr Big and The Hunter (Free).

Lenny Kravitz? familiar name I think, although I don't think I've heard any of his stuff. Anyone know of any clips of him using that v, it looks like a sweet guitar :)
-
bump :)
-
I'm not going to try to recomend you anything, but bear in mind that Tim will exchange a pickup with 7 days if you think you've got it wrong.
-
Yeah, its just I'm a little worried that it'll be a bit like my Tanglewood Electro-Acoustic, which I bought a few months ago and loved it, but now I really don't think its for me and am trying to sell it (still for sale, its a TW47-B with a ritter gigbag and a recent pro setup, £500 [/shameless spam ;) )
What the heck, I think I'll get the mules this week :)
-
Actually, I think you might be able to see some from Feline Guitars, though I'm not sure because I live in the U.S.
