i want a really thick & fluid lead tone
good for legato and general smooth lead sounds.
Also it has to be really clear and smooth sounding
the guitar is agile al2500 les paul
i have miracle man in the bridge

Never played the MM neck, but the CS will nail all that. Pairs extremely well with the metal bridge pickups because of its chimey cleans and fluid, smooth lead sound.

oh yeah i forgot i need nice cleans acousticy if possible

I have a Cold Sweat neck, if you haven't heard (if you can) from my clips of the neck for metal, etc. I could run off an acoustic type sound for you on MSN if you want. Will have to excuse the 5th string though, the saddle is too blunt and the string keeps popping out.

CS neck does sound good clean. quite responsive to use of the tone and volume control. i think there is some sort of clip of that floating around.
-
i could be wrong, but i seem to recall it being said that the Cold Sweat and Miracle Man neck pickups are basically the same.
-
looks like i am wrong! Tim posted in another thread that the two neck pickups are very different, the Miracle Man neck being much more powerful while the Cold Sweat is clearer and more articulate.
