It's been a busy few weeks getting these babies finished off, but finally got there......
First up is a Lion single-cut with a super wide neck for a player with very big hands. Features a pair of mules in the widest pole-piece spacing I could get from Tim.

Then is a guitar that has been in the works for way too long but is now ready to be shipped out
Basically it is a thicker than normal ML type guitar with an oil finish like Tim had on his explorer that we made him. Pickups are BKP Miracle Man and Cold Sweat neck. Sounds amazing. Also has sperzel tuners, Earvana nut and Tonepros hardware.

Coming up next is a batch that includes Johnny Mac's Lion singlecut with all it's piezo and midi gubbins- should be fun if a little challenging

Sweet :o
They look awesome dude, and that neck certainly looks wide!

Cheers - you can really see the width in this shot (expect a smart ass remark from Afghan Dave at this point)

Just how wide is that neck at the nut? :o It's obvious even from a small picture tha it's much wider than usual - like a classical guitar almost.
-
i really like the lions you do, they always just look so much nicer than anything gibson is putting out... does this one have the nicely contoured heel like the purple one, cant help but feel all LP's should be made that way.
-
I hate Deans with a passion, but i can't complain about that Lion. THAT'S NIIIIIIICE!
-
That neck is ridiculous, as said like a classical guitar, looks AWESMOME :D
And if that ML were tobacco burst I'd have to steal it 8)
-
How wide is 'super wide'? Can you provide nut width and radius please?
This way I can have a proper GAS attack! PDT_008

Woah. They both look amazing. I particularly like the 'super wide' neck on the lion, gives plenty of space for the hands
-
Gorgeous blue on the Lion :o

I have really small hands, so sometimes Jon's nuts feel huge if he lets me play with them... The width of that hard wood is just too much for me to get my head around...
(enough?)

Seriously though, the Lion looks bloody gorgeous PDT_003

Yes the width of the neck on the Lion is the same a a classical - think it is 52mm.
The guy it is for has really big hands & found that he was only comfy on a wide classical but wanted to play rock, so we used the width dimensions of the classical as a starting point. The fingerboard has a 12" radius like on a Gibson LP and the thickness of the neck goes from about 21mm at the first fret up to about 23.5mm at the 12th . That is kind of like a 60s LP thickness but because the neck is so wide it makes the brain think the neck is skinny like on an Ibanez (odd mental quirk).
Yes the guitar has the all access heel too....
The body is made from the timbers that the purple lion was- they were made at the same time - cut from the same planks, so you may see similarities

And yes thanks Dave - that is more than enough PDT_040

Gorgeous Lion!
Is it just me or are the pickup rings different to on a normal LP? More arched or something? :?
-
Stunning work Jonathan.

Tis a beauty!

damn i love that finish on the lion, the top and the finish... gorgeous!!!

They both look very nice Jonathon!
Good news about the Lion too. :D Do we need to have another chat about details and the balance?

Yeah - call me in the week and we'll get it sorted

Again some very cool guitars. Personally I would have liked some sort of burst finish on the ML. The Lion looks gorgeous but I doubt if I could get my pinky on the low E string.
Did you know the size of the nuts is relative to the size of the head?
