I just had a set of Mules (IV magnet) installed in my Gibson DG335 and I'm getting a huge amount of humming from the neck pickup. I had a Burstebucker 1 in the neck before and did not have this humming. My set up and where I play in my house is exactly the same. I'm using a Marshall TSL601. I'm not getting this humming with the bridge pickup. Only when I lower the neck pickup volume on the guitar to about 6 does the humming go away. Does anyone have any thoughts? Even at low volumes on the amp the humming is still there.

Could be the earth, either not earthed prooperly or you have an earth loop (more than 1 route to earth).
Or something else entirly, I'm no expert.

Must be the earthing, check also how the guitar sounds when you dont touch the guitar to make sure you have the bridge earthing on correctly too.
Unpotted(?) pickups are a bit more sensitive to good earthing, ive read somewhere around here that if you have bad earthing on your homes electric cirquit there is a extention thingy which improves that(normally used for computers?).

Not to be redundant here, but it has to be the grounding. That is really the only thing that will cause a pronounced hum. Check all your grounding connections and soder points. Good luck!!
