Righty so I have a tele with a Holydiver in the bridge, and it needs a neck pickup. The twist is I'm willing to stick ANYTHING into this position. Anything... Space or pickguard isn't an issue.
So the sounds I'm looking for is something very warm, open chords should sound thick and shweet, and it should be grunty with some dirt.
Been maybe thinking of a Mule, a P90-something or one of the hotter tele neck pickups.
What's the best tool for this job?

I'd be inclined to say P90.

That was my initial thought. I know nothing of P90s though, been thinking of something alnico 5-ish though. My country boy tele has alnico III pickups, and as much as I love them I want a change for this guitar.

Mississippi Queen - perfect.
Get some big strings and a slide and you'll have an ultimate slide guitar with that combo.

Hmm a MQ would look PIMP. Can't find any clips of it though. Anyone second the MQ suggestion while I abuse the search function?

I have a Slowhand neck in one of my Tele's. That or perhaps an Irish tour - they do work well with Nailbombs.
If you want a P-90 go with the real thing unless the pickup is already cut for a humbucker. The BKP-91 is a great neck pickup.
Last but not least, for a humbucker look at the Cold Sweat neck, I have that with my Nailbomb and it gets a great sound.

AHHHHH choices! I hate them. I'm tempted to send Tim an envelope of money and describe the sound I want and see what I get. I hate choosing.
Actually leaning towards a neck humbucker with a cover. Looks sweet but means a custom scratchplate is in order. Decisions...
