Title: Holy Grail of Flangers?
Post by: Scott674 on February 13, 2008, 03:33:07 AM
I'm lookin for a flanger to use on metalish rythm lines...  I've never owned a flanger myself, and haven't really played any.  Which is the "Holy Grail" of flangers?  What's your favorite?

Both.

Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love = Phaser.
Unchained = Flanger.

For me there is only one - the ADA Flanger is godly.

not sure if it would be considered the holy grail or anything but i got an old carlsboro flanger of ebay the other week for just uner £30

Its got an amazing range of sounds on it.

controls are speed, depth, colour and it also has an invert switch which does the same as a harmonic switch on a ADA - basically gives softer, more phaser style sounds as well.  A couple more controls would have been nice but it still sounds pretty awesome.  Its a bit huge but looks cool
