But is it possible to get (say) an ubersinner with ceramic magnets?

On a Strat pickup the pole pieces are the magnets. I don't know if those are made in ceramic.

Yoo could maybe get one with steel slug poles and a ceramic bar magnet across the bottom.  A bit like the pickups they use on some budget Strat copies - and also very much like a DiMarzio SDS-1.

I don't know whether it's something Tim would be interested in building though, you'd have to ask.
