Title: Nailbombs calibrated covered set - tone test
Post by: Nige666 on February 14, 2008, 09:12:31 PM
Testing my new tone, what do you think? I've got it set:- Bass 4, Mid 5 and Treble 7, Drive 8. This is just a riff from one of our songs called The Phoenix Rises. Just like to point out that I actually play bass in my band, and I've only played guitar for about 3 months now. I'll add another tune at a later date, (when I get a bit better at playing lol).

ALTERNATE TONE FURTHER DOWN PAGE.

More bass, tiny notch more mid, little bit more treble and you'll be playing the way I like it! :D

Still, Nailbombs are schweeeeet. Good riff.

That's a pretty nice Machinehead-y tone you've got going. I'd agree with Jonny that a bit more bass and mids wouldn't go amiss. Maybe a smidgen less gain as well?

Forgot to mention that I'm playing through a Line 6 Spider II, amp model set to green insane.  (Btw what the hell is the red insane, it sounds wacky!)

I prefer the second, but in a mix the first would cut through more, so it's a catch 22. None are bad!
