Hey guys,

Any idea why Tim hasn't decided to engrave or at least put a label on the back of the pickups signifying which one they are? For example, a Stormy Monday label on the back of the pickup. Just wondering.

well when I was discussing my custom engraving order with Tim he told me that it costs an average of around £20 for each new engraving design, so it'd probably add a bit to the cost of each pickup.  to be fair it's not that much of an issue as long as you keep track of which pickups you put into which guitar

Well, it doesn't have to be an engraving. It could just be a little sticker, like Seymour Duncan's have. Just a thought.

i think he presumes you know what you ordered.. but really its so customisable anyway it wouldnt make sense

If you really want a sticker, why not make one yourself? How does Phil King cope?!

It doesn't really have anything to do with not knowing what you order. Don't you guys ever have a few extra BKP pickups laying around? Oh well, guess all start making my own stickers!  :?

nah, definately a few times it would come in usefull around here.  a sticker for the main models would be usefull but i doubt tim would want to be getting all his baseplates engraved with specific model names - especially when you think each model has the option of short or long legs.. its limiting and impractical from a manufacturing point of view

i must confess i have lost the neck/bridge stickers from the wires before - not too difficult to tell the difference (weight and reisistance help), but annoying all the same

i wouldnt have lost them if they had been stuck to the bottom but they make more sense on the lead once everything is in the cavity
