Title: Which players are best at "getting lost in their playin
Post by: hunter on February 24, 2008, 07:23:11 AM
I gotta say, I don't like players who play lead and don't show how they suffer or enjoy it. Some dudes think it's cool not to make a face when playing 1/256 notes.

I want attitude, dedication and guitar faces!

I mean I gotta bring up Mr. Moore, he is like todally awsomely drifting away when he plays.

Jeff Healey would be another one I'd bring up.

Jimmy Page is not bad on the early vids, but he is a bit too drugged maybe

Who are your fav players with real dedication and expression when they give it up and let it all out?

Richie Sambora has shown more often than not the guitar face

Paul Kossof, Hendrix, Duane Allman

But I agree on Gary Moore... he has a sort of "roaring-lion" face quite often.

That's possibly the stupidest guitar face I've seen...

He must get some serious facial cramp after playing for any length of time...

I might save up and buy that guy a Chapman Stick...

+1 for Gary.  Best faces ever.

Didn't Satriani get really ill for clamping his jaw tight shut when playing?  Let it all out, man!
