Just doing some webcrawling, and saw these. I saw the Artisan series in Guitarist a couple of months ago and thought they looked pretty cool... And now these have added to the coolness...
Yum.

Look awesome!
200 watts?! At least it has an atteunator of some sort.
Now I wonder how it SOUNDS!!!
-
These have been on the Blackstar website for as long as i can remmeber but not a single person has said a peep about 'em!
The Combo would be right up my street, quite like the engl screamer but probably more to my taste.
The DRF power reduction though looks interesting, is it power scaling or is it something else?

tried their amps and a stomp box at their booth @ LGS last year.. amps didnt impress me that much, but the distortion pedal was amazing!

The reason we haven't heard anything about them is that they don't exist out in the "real world" yet. The Giggear.co.uk website claims that they are for release in Autumn (thats "fall" to you yanks !!) 2008.

I have had 8 amps in 10 years looking for "that sound"......... Marshall, Mesa/Boogie, Fender etc etc - spent far too much money.
Bought a Blackstar Artisan 15 a month ago and am ecstatic - it is nothing short of astonishing - build quality, price, value for money and, above all - THE SOUND. Ignore at your peril. Celestion Greenback makes it sing beautifully too.
Audition them before you buy any boutique or mainstream tube amp and save yourself a load of money with a superior sound.

I played the Artisan 30 the other day and I liked it - nice tone, similar to the HT-Dual green channel. I'd like to try one cranked...

Artisan 30 is beautiful piece of kit but VERY VERY heavy to lift for a combo and only has 1 handle on top - no side handle grips like Marshalls etc. I opted for a 15 because of the weight.
The 5 way tone shaping control on Channel 2 is awesome idea. Gives you both a Brit and US sound.
No effects loop and no reverb - simple layout with high quality hand wiring and great tube layout. Designed in UK but manufactured in Korea to keep price down. Build quality is second to none.

I don't like the looks for the Artoisan range personally, but then I've never liked Cornfords either. The Series One amps look much better to me.
