I just felt that I had to post a thread concerning the fantastic service and communication I always get from the BKP team and Tim in particular - today I enquired after a potential purchase and asked for some advice on which p'up to go for. Considering that Tim must get quite a few such emails a day I was amazed to find that even though I had sent the email after 6pm he responded a couple of hours later. I'm not sure how many people here frequent the Harmony Central/ Rigtalk boards but there has been a furore over there, regarding the incredibly poor, downright rude and unprofessional practises of Mark Cameron Amps in the last few days - Tim is the polar opposite and a model for any 'boutique' company. Hopefully this might serve to enlighten (and entice) any new buyers that pop in to this forum. :drink: Tim you rock!

Yup, totally!
Infact, I'd have to say, the service I got when I ordered my pups was the best, and most reassuring kind I could have wished for, really put my mind at ease when buying my first pups :D

Just like to confirm the great BKP customer service.
I ordered a Piledriver neck pickup a couple of weeks ago on a Tuesday. On Thursday, after I had removed the strings, pickguard and old neck pickup, I found out I needed the guitar for the weekend. I phoned BKP and asked if they could give me an idea when the pickup would be delivered expecting it to the latter half of the following week. 5 minutes later I had a phone call back from Tim. When I told him I would be using the guitar at the weekend he said he would finish winding the pickup and put it in the post later in the day. It arrived on the Friday - 3 days after I had ordered it. Excellent service...and the pickup was great!

I agree completely Tim even called me up to make sure that everything was correct on the order.
And soon i shall receive great customer service once again.

Another BIG[/i] +1 to this thread!
I ordered a set of VHIIs pre-wired on a tortoiseshell scratchplate to go on my white Strat.
I ordered my pickups on the phone with Tim, and a week later, they arrived on a very nice (and very well wired) scratchplate.
I didn't have time to attempt to fit them until about a week later, but when I did, I found that the tremolo route on the scratchplate was almost 20mm too narrow to fit around the Floyd Rose Tremolo unit that is on the guitar. I rung BKP at 8PM (expecting to speak to an answer phone) low and behold, Tim answers and we talk about the problem. Tim suggests that he'd be willing to widen the route on the scratchplate for me if I didn't feel confident doing it (which I didn't).
I put the pickups and the guitars original scratchplate in the post on Tuesday afternoon, and I received it back all sorted on the Friday (having been posted on the Thursday I assume?)
Tim took the time out to help me in his own time, with something that wasn't his problem, and didn't charge me anything for it neither!
I don't know any other company where the head of the company himself goes to that length to help someone out :)

Hell yes!!
BK service is in the stratosphere. The total elite. The benchmark. The customer service alpha and omega.
I've had quite a number of above-and-beyond the call experiences with them.

Yes - Tim's customer service is good - and equally good to his stockists/OEM users like myself.
I would love to be able to emulate that level of service myself, and have sometimes picked Tim's brain over the way forward over handling tricky situations as I respect his outlook on stuff.
BKP certainly deserve their good reputation!

BKP's customer service is the best of any company I've dealt with - they always exceed your expectations; which is nice (Fast Show reference)

I would like to add that I ordered my 4th kind of BK; a cold sweat recently and ordered double allen screw coils(i.e extra work,) and I stillreceived it one week later. and I live in sunny /rainy? Florida USA! I have asked him some stupid questions, and never got a reply or tone that was like"you idiot". Always Quick on the e-mails even across the globe. I salute you, Tim, and crew as well :D Cheers, and many Blessings to your company.
-
Yep , service is first class-puts a lot of other companies to shame!

Couldn't say it better meself, so I didn't!!! :D

I think that the service is one of the main reasons that many of us are so passionate and loyal to BKP. I have sent a few mates Tim's way, whether or no they mentioned me when talking to him I know not-in each case they came back praising BKP.

I can't praise Tim enough for dealing with us infuriating customers, how he put's up with my stupid questions is beyond me :D

Totally.
It goes both ways, though: BK are passionate and loyal to us, the customer.
I too have sent a few people BKs way. They come back with their jaw in their lap over the tone and at least one is a repeat customer.

all of my Guitars some day will have BKP"s , Tim is way above average in the customer service thing .
if all companies were like that ...but they are not .
