Just put my Abraxas bridge pickup through it's paces at rehersals.
FABULOUS, FABULOUS, FABULOUS.
Diffrent to the Mule ( which is also fabulous ) but I'm finding it hard to describe. Warmer tone to my ears and very smooth. Heard some Led Zepplin tones in there somewhere. Clean tones are chrystal clear.

What kind of guitar is it in? Any pics? :)

I put it in my Les Paul Standard. It has the unpolished cover, which looks great.
I'll get some pics and a demo done when I get the time. My wifes expecting No 2, so time is a bit precious at the moment

Glad you like it Chris. I really like the sound of them, so much that I am thinking of getting a set of Abraxas V for my PRS :P

Abraxas..................what was it you said Phil, 'demon' tone :D !

It would be good to hear the Abraxas V for a comparison, Phil.
I tried that tip you gave for the Wah Wah pedal. Turned the pot back and now it's not so harsh when fully depressed. Cheers.
I also compared the Abraxas to my mates Burstbucker. He gets a good tone from his brige PU, but the Abraxas was much more articulate, especially when you give it a bit of a dig with the plectrum.

Mythologists place Abraxas among the Egyptian gods, while some demonologists cite him to be a demon with the head of a king and serpents forming his feet. He has been represented on amulets with a whip in his hand. The mystic word abracadabra was derived from his name.
Magic pickups you see :P They can be a god or a demon - the tones definately allow that.

Ah, it all sounds so wonderful! Tell me more! Play me more :)

The Abraxas humbuckers are voiced for a hot, sweet and singing vintage tone.As you all know, original PAFs were all in the DC8-9K region but I wanted to create a pickup that had a similar vibe but more power......a mix of early and modern Santana I guess.
The tone is bright yet sweet.............the clarity extends through the bass too and it's a medium output humbucker. In the right hands it'll still rock though :D
