Title: Painkiller riffage

Threw together this quick clip with the Painkiller in my Jackson KV2 - yes, it's a bit quick'n'dirty, the idea was for a slightly "open" riff, a speed riff & a bit of twin harmony at the end :)

Guitar: my birthday present (http://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?topic=11615) with Painkiller
Amp: Engl Savage 120 head, Mesa Recto 2x12" cab (vintage 30s)
Mic/Recording: SM57, Presonus Bluetube DP, Fostex MR16HD

Very good, but i liked your warpig clip better
any chance of doing a similar tone Eq than the warpig, but this time with tghe pkand ???

The amp settings for both clips were identical - I recorded them one after the other.  

The only difference is the guitars:
Jackson KV2 with Painkiller, 10-46 strings, tuned to Eb
Gibson Gothic V with Warpig, 13-62 strings, tuned to C/drop-Bb

So I guess having the brighter guitar (Alder/Maple/Ebony) with lighter strings, higher tuning & the brighter pickup gives the PK clip much more treble...

No, there is no way I'm sticking 13-62s on my KV :)

Ah.. cool, i meant, if theres a way to eq the amp, so the painkiller would sound less bright than the warpig clip(that warpig clip is perfect. )

all Bridge position ones
Warpig, Painkiller, Miracle Man
I THINK, that i´ll like the PK more.
but after that clip,maybe the i[´ll change my opinion. Warpig.

Ill need help choosing the right pickusp for the guitars i have right now.

i previously choose the following combination :
Esp MII Deluxe(Ash Body,Maple neck. rosewood fretboard.Tuned to D standard) - Nailbomb
Schecter Avenger (walnut top and back. basswood body.maple neck /rosewood fretboard .Tuned to C standard) - Warpig.
Charvel Fusion Deluxe - (not sure yet if the body is basswood or poplar. maple neck/rosewood fret.tuned to D standard) - Painkiller.
Next guitar(its still in the process. if a cedar body made copy of a LES PAUL, or a custom flyign V )
