Title: For those interested in Computer VST Amplifier sims.
Post by: Adam.M on March 05, 2008, 12:17:39 AM
I've just found this new (i think it's new anyway) VST Amp called Studio Devil.

http://www.studiodevil.com/home/

Now i've played Amplitube 1 & 2, Guitar Rig 2 & 3, ReValver and loads of others, and from what i can tell from playing through the freebie one, the british valve custom, it's far far better and more 'guitarist' friendly than the others.

My strat sounds like a strat, and if i dont mind saying, quite an okay one through this! i blame the new strings.

I black off the volume, instead of in guitar rig it just doesnt play anything, here it plays cleaner... just put a tinge of reverb after it in cuebase to give it a bit of 'air' to the sound and it's really nice, and it's so simply designed, just like an amp.

I'll post some clips soon when i've finished setting up my desktop pc if anyones interested.

I've used that before, sounds allright to me. Pretty similar to my v-amp which people may not think is a good thing :P

At least you can afford a v-amp ;) i cant afford the bus fair to town right now, hah!

After trying the real version, i didn't like it one bit!

But the free single amp VST is really really good, i may just plug the blackstar or whatever pedal im getting into the computer and use this as a 'clean channel' it's really good! and free!

I'm interested to hear it sound like a Boogie.
