Has anyone ever seen such a classic guitar in such amazing condition? It's over 50 years old and all it has to show for it is a couple of dings on the headstock!
-
That really is guitar porn!
I bet Ratrod is counting his pennies as we speak.
-
It's a bit pricey I think. It sure is a pretty specimen. It could also be the 'real deal' judging by the serial nr. sticker, headstock and fetboard inlay.
I'll post it on the Gretschpages forum where the real experts can give their opinion.
-
Just curious. What is your oldest guitar, Ratrod?
-
The '55 Silver Jet is the real deal. The seller is a member of the gretschpages although not a frequent poster.
My oldest guitar? I have a 70's Yamaha SG so that's about 30 years old and a refurbished and slightly modded Hofner strat shaped bass wich is somewhere from the late 60's.

Maybe someone should start an "oldest guitar" thread.
I have a feeling Phil King would win hands down.

All the threads I start are blatantly (spelling/or even the right word) overlooked so you can start it if you want.
