Hey everybody whats your favorite all time humbucker bridge pickup?
-
I've only had one, a ceramic Warpig bridge.
But plan for a Nailbomb ceramic bridge once I get a guitar and if the pickups are lame.
-
I don't own it currently, but i used to have a calib. set of Ceramic Holy Divers in my Ibanez RG and thats the guitar i've had the most fun and best sound with in my years playing guitar. I took them out because i was going to sell the guitar but i decided to keep it and it now has a H-S-H set of DiMarzio Evolutions in it which i am happy with.
If i had the money though i wouldn't hesitate to get them again. :D

My favourite is whichever one will get the job done best at the moment.
At this moment, it's the Riff Raff, but that changes daily depending on what I'm working on.

BKP Emerald.
Overwound PAF with just the right power and precision to have a ball :D
-
i'm currently using a miracle man, but the holy diver was the best in my les paul (i tried about 7-8 bridge humbuckers only in this guitar and a lot other models in other guitars)
-
Ceramic warpig :D
-
Cold sweat with double screws! Great for hard rock and punk!
-
Gotta be the Riff Raff for me, of course ;)
-
The Mule - again it varies - but whatever the style, its never the wrong choice. Frankly I expected more Mule love in this thread.
-
I'm not a massive Mule fan to be honest. I've got a pair for sale on eBay at the moment as they didn't sell on this forum (which I thought they would). I still have a bridge Mule in my Tokai LP though.
-
Hmm
Thats a tough one; i couldnt possibly give one answer cause my fav pickup in a LP wouldnt be the same as my fav pick in a super strat.
I'd go with mules for the LP
and VH2/Holy Divers (alnico) for the super strats
-
HOLY DIVER :)
It sounds fantastic in a variety of guitars & covers almost every tonal need I have from a bridge pickup.

That surprises me Dave, I thought you were well into the Mule.
I think my favourite, of the ones I've got, is the Riff Raff. I reckon the Black Dog has potential too, but not sure I've got it in the right guitar at the moment.

Ceramic Warpig FTW!
-
My favourite from BK so far is the
Miracle Man Bridge
From duncan
Invader
JB
Emg
85 but only in the bridge

Well it worked really well in a Gordon Smith I used to own, but in a Les Paul they've just not worked for me. A bit too bright and thin sounding in the bridge, especially in my Gibson LP but that is a bright sounding guitar to start with. I'm still undecided on the one in my Tokai. The neck pickup is an AIV Stormy Monday and isn't working at the moment, plus the bridge tone control is hit and miss, so I've got parts on order for a complete re-wire to hopefully fix it.
The Riff Raff in the SG is great though, perfect for rock tones.

Gaaah...
I dunno :)
It was the Warpig in my SG supreme,
Now it's a toss up between that and the Painkiller in my LP...
-
lots of warpig love on this thread!

I expected to see "Mule" in half the posts. Well, the thread isn't over yet. My vote: Crawler.
