Are there any hangers available that would mean I could put my guitar on my wall on its side?
Like, horizontal as opposed to the standard vertical?

"Mounting screws not included"
Bitches!

Better make sure you have good walls. If those screws come off, your axe will pretty surely suffer neck breakage.
Looks very nice though indeed!

Ohhh, looks interseting!
Cheers!
Wondering wether its worth doing now though.... would my guitar fade or anything out in the open all the time?

If you're guitar is in direct sunlight it would almost certainly fade if it was a nitro finish - a guitar shop that I used to walk past had the same guitar in it's shop front for over a year. I tried it out one day and the front of the guitar was really faded (I took a few screws off of the pick guard to take a closer look) compared to what it should have been. And they still had it listed as new
Not sure how sunlight would effect other finishes.
-
^ my guess is it would, but that's only based on my (extremely basic and probably ill-informed/wrong) knowledge of how chemical structures relate to colours. Most brightly-coloured things tend to have conjugated pi systems, and those generally react with sunlight.
unless the finish blocks sunlight, or unless guitar colours are based on metal complexes.
bear in mind, this is probably wrong.

depends on the colour and the finish
-
Personally, I think guitars get a very natural beauty when they've faded a bit. I'm not talking about nicks and scratches like those vintage replicas, but just that color tends to darken with age, and more often than not it suits them.

If I didn't keep my guitars in their cases and wanted to hang them I would probably use this. If you're worried about fading you could always put them on a wall that doesn't get much sun or get good curtains/blinds. You'd also have to worry about cleaning more often.
Looking in the reviews on that site somebody had a good suggestion. They drilled new holes to the sides of the two existing mounting points giving them a total of 6 screws for more security. If you look at the pics you'll see what he means.

do you guys keep your guitars in their cases? mine are all just on stands...
-
I noticed that when i let my guitars in their case, i tend to play them less than when they are out or on stands, so this is interesting indeed...

I can only play one at a time (obviously) so I just leave my guitar on the stand downstairs, where I am usually. And the rest are lovingly displayed in my bedroom on one of those 2 guitar hanger stands and laid on the sofa.

I think I'll keep it safe in the case..... cheers anyway all!
Thing is, its a lovely Snow White Charvel, and my room gets lot of sunlight in the morning, so I don't want it to go that horrible yellow colour that white things go when they fade .

i'll defer to this. :)

quitw apart from fading, you might want to consider the guitar heating up and cooling down a lot ....and warping like a f'cker!
don't let the sun get to em, i tell thee!
