Title: BlackDog/VHII => OCD => RC => Cleanish Marshall
Post by: hunter on March 16, 2008, 06:18:25 PM
Sorry if I am spamming this forum with clips, but it's just too easy to hit the Rec button with these mini ram recorders.

This is Edwards LP with BlackDog VHII combo into a rather cleanish set Marshall Vintage Modern and a Fulltone OCD and an Xotic RC to boost the hell out of it :O)

I am usually an amp overdrive guy but actually like this drive/boost pedal sound more at the moment, it's somehow more in your face and at the same time laid back, hard to describe ...

There's no word more appropriate for this.

nice tone there.. how u findin' the VM? I tried one but couldn't stand the thing... seems it's working for you though.

I've just recently got a THD BiValve which with KT88's and an openback 1x12 (V30) it's got awesome crunch!.. Boosting it with a T-Rex Alberta.

:O)

The VM did it for me instantly in terms of fun. I tend to dial it in a bit too trebly maybe, that's one to keep watching. But it definitely feels great to play, with it's dynamic response, open sound and badass kick in the chest ... and as I am an egocentric prick, that's what mainly counts for me.
