I'm going to be getting my strat tomorrow if all goes well, i already have the scratch plate for it and know what BKP i'll be putting into it.
Just out of boredom and curiosity, which BKP would you guys put in a single pup strat?
I can't wait for mine 8) I plan to have a few different scratchplates and just swap pups around when i feel like it.

+1

VHII
(Don't actually own one, so that could be a mistake, who knows?)
-
Holy Diver would be my choice too...
-
Crawler? I guess it'd fatten it up a bit, I think it was designed for both strats and les pauls. Thats what I'll probably go for if I ever put together/buy a single hum strat.

Depends what you want it to sound like haha, but my first instinct was Holy Diver.
-
VHII for me
-
Awesome, i was right! except for tom's suggestion, haha :)
I will be getting myself a VHII first as it's my favourite humbucker so far, then another scratchplate with a Holy Diver on it for those heavier times

well personally id take the guitars construction and materials into consideration
is it just a cheapo strat?
or a fender/squier?

Fender Mexican, Maple neck and Alder body.
And a really good one too, serial number MZ2080857, fits my hand like a glove, like it's supposed to be there... don't care if it's mexican, it rocks and gives me that funny feeling.

I had a MIM strat identical to yours (same year and all) and the HD sounded massive in it. Got rid of it to finance a rocking tele, which has the same construction. Still sounds mahooooosive.

Holy Diver. Then scallop that 'board.

Stomach says: Holy Diver
Brain says: Mule
