Title: 2 clips using Rebel Yell + Mules into GH50L
Post by: _tom_ on March 18, 2008, 03:18:41 PM
I made this up a week or so ago but only recorded it with the V-Amp. I'm still not amazing at mic'ing but this is pretty much the best recorded tone I've got since I forgot where to point the mic!

Rebel Yell is on the left speaker just for the rhythm stuff, Mule on the right. For the lead bit at the start I used the neck Mule, quiet bit in the middle was also neck mule and the lead type bits at the end are bridge Mule again.

Doesnt have a proper name, I just mashed the keyboard and got that

edit - I re-recorded that Sabbath style thing I made up a few weeks ago. Used the Keeley Rat to boost the amp. Mule is on the left speaker this time I think, Rebel Yell on the right. Then for the octave bits its Mule bridge again

Sounds great! Good sustain on those Mules.

Cheers :) Most of that sustain was feedback, with a boost in front it slips into feedback so easily.

Couldnt have it too loud, my brother was trying to do his coursework  Had the master about 1 which is still really loud on the GH.

edit - I slowed down my Sabbath track, its even more brutal now :D http://www.netmusicians.org/files/32-mixdown_sabbath1.mp3
