Hi to all!!! I went to demo some songs with my brothers to a small studio.
I used my BKP loaded tele. There are vocals in the clip. I know some donīt like to hear vocals when they want to listen to the pickup, but still i believe itīs a good way to listen how the pickup cuts in a song.
The clip was recorded with my custom amp with a 2x12 custom cabinet. Mainly itīs guitar (fernandes "the revival" tele) straight to the amp, then i kick a keeley modded blues driver with slight gain. The solo is a bad bob booster pushing the blues driver, and delay was added in the mix.
I hope you like it and if i can iīll make more clips using other positions.
By the way, thatīs me in the backing vocals!!

Cool track Balde...thats a beautiful sound. Thanks for posting the whole track with vox...puts the sound in context :) Nice playing as well...

cool track, very nice sounds! when i first hear that strummed minor chord in the opening, I thought we were going to get 'Breathe' by Pink Floyd! :)
-
Great tone and playing, nice to hear some more Tele clips coming through now PDT_003

really nice tones, very organic sounding.mmm,i want a tele now!
-
Great tone! This is more proof that Telecasters are tone machines! Well, the pickups probably have a lot to do with it but it's true anyway.
-
Really really nice tone and playing. Specially liked the lead, it's made me think of getting my TS9 out of it's box and putting my Java Boost in front of it.

yeap. you know your stuff eh??? I have two amps. One is a 5F6-A with KT66s and 2 alnico 12"s and the other is a BF clone, single-ended, no NFL and a single 15", also alnico.
Bendiciones amigo.

nice amps!!!! i always wanted a real fender bassman. I dig the blackface tone a lot, but bassmanīs have that punchy a bit more meaty and midrangey tone i dig a lot. I find them to be a bit more responsive too. Iīll get one someday! (hopefully) in fact i always thought that my ideal setup would be my matchless clone a bassman and and amp switcher. I love the way the matchless behave for the rock, and distorted dynamic tones, nice cleans too, i love that jangly quality in the tone. But men, funk, blues and some rock maybe, are the bomb for the bassman!! i like that fat fender tone with lots of attack and nice, rounded, natural compression when it starts to work its ass off!!!! i need one of those beautyīs!!!!!
good luck and keep on enjoying those amps!!!

:D As it goes i Love the Bassman as well ! The second guitarists in my old R`nB band played one what a sound !

Yeah, great sound!!! what amp/s do you own jt?

If you like the bassman, check this out. This has got to be the best bassman clone around. Mind you, they're very pricey.

Great info!!!! been checking out, they seem to be very nice. Still i couldnīt find the price anywhere... They are dutch arenīt they?
-
Yeah, great sound!!! what amp/s do you own jt?
:D Hi mate At the moment i only have one Amp on the go it`s a Sheldon TT3. HJM introduced me to `em at the guitar exhibition in May. It`s a 1 to 3 watt custom made practice amp/combo going through a 30 watt Celestion Vintage speaker. It has a Bassman/Plexi type bottom end Woof to it !!! :P
It`s also F***ing loud !! i kid you not. i played it in my mates garage & they heard me down the road ! 400yrds away !! :P
it doesn`t do high gain type stuff which is actually a problem as i like that really driven sound. But it does the Blues & R`n`B / Jazz / Rock type stuff. of course because it`s so loud i can`t use it in my flat as it would kill my neighbours !! :(

Yeah, they're dutch. The cheapest is 1452.- without reverb and with Jensen speakers. Then there's one for 1634.- with Jensens and reverb and the top of the line model wich is 1816.- wich has reverb and Webers.
There was a test of it in the dutch Guitarist magazine. They couldn't find anything wrong with it.
(If you get one, hire a roadie to haul the thing for ya)

Excellent sound, these are the Tele pickups that I am thinking of putting into my maple necked tele. Is yours a rosewood or maple neck?
I love the song too.

Awesome tone! :D

Your tone is just gorgeous, I'm about to order replacements for my Broadcaster relic. What was the reason for your particular combination of pickups? I'm curious, they sound very nice.

I really like your clean sound with the Yardbirds on the neck, and the Boss on the bridge, using the middle position. Now, how do they work on the other positions? I am looking for that kind of clean sound, but I want to have the possibility to use a higher gain distortion to get a sound like Radiohead from The Bends. Would your setup work for that?
I have an american standard tele with rosewood fretboard. You mentioned that yours is maple. I was wondering if your pickups will still be good for my guitar.
Time recommended the piledrivers for high gain, but I am not that sure. I don't want to play really heavy rock. And I don't want to lose the nice and warm clean sound.
Any other suggestions?

Hiya Balde,
I must add the previous praise and comments ; I also preferred to hear the whole song / band. Very tasteful playing on your part, not least for the fact that the solo was played for the song - and not visa-versa. Your rhythm playing also being very consistent and even throughout ; very professional . A great showcase for the pickups / guitar / tone as well of course. A Telecaster sounding at it's best - and in a very nice context. :)

I am ignorant and dont understand what he is singing about, it sounds superb though. Well sung vocals and the guitar work and tone just complement it superbly. The solo fits the song great too.
Very intresting too the pickup choice. I have never thought of trying a boss bridge and yardbord neck together but it certainly works for you. Nice work keep the coming.
