Bob Marley is the man.  Always can pop in some Marley no matter what mood I'm in.

The man was a genius and the volume of quality songs he wrote is remarkable.  I reckon he must stil be one of the most popular musicians in the world.  I spent a few months travelling around Asia and he was played everywhere.  Mind you, so was Jack Johnson

He was a very talented chap, but reggae - even when the songs are as strong as Marley's - just isn't my cup of tea.

Reggae is fun to play on guitar btw If you ever get a chance with your band or something you should try playing some and just have a jam!

I am a big fan of BM and I am quite fond of reggae. I get to sing No Woman No Cry in my band-which I always like doing.

I have a great fondness for Marley, both his voice and songs, but a combination of too many nights with friends smoking cheap dope (them not me) and discovering Dub.

Give Misty in Roots a try as well as the clasdics like Peter Tosh & Bunny Wailer. Finlay Quayes "Maverick A Strike" is great summer aftwernoon pop reggae CD

For some Dub (which I have been listening to a lot lately) give Dennis Bovell, King Tubby, Scientist Mad Professor or Lee 'Scratch' Perry

Just glad to get a change from Rock & Metal discussions.

Ok yeah check out Jah Wobble if you want to hear a monster reagge bass tone http://www.30hertzrecords.com/

When summer comes and the temperatures get tropical, I simmer down in my front yard, get a cold drink and put on a Bob Marley record.

A little slice of heaven.

When summer comes and the temperatures get tropical, I sit in a darkened room, switch the fan on, listen to Black Sabbath and wish I could afford air conditioning.  Or a house in Siberia.
