Title: Fixing effects?
Post by: Johnny Mac on March 24, 2008, 10:58:48 PM
I've got a Dunlop Cry baby that needs a new pot. An original Electro Hamonix Little Big Muff that needs some wires soldered from various places and my BBE Sonic Maximiser needs a new power cable fitted to the transformer.

Anyone know of somewhere that will fix them? :)

No, I think he farms it out to someone else, which may incur some middleman fees. I suppose it's worth a phone call though.

Thanks for the replies lads.

I gave him my Engl to fix a month or so ago - Dunno what he did with it, but it came back in perfect order, and I paid a damn reasonable price considering what was fixed.

Whether he sent it out or not - I have no idea.

hey johnny,

yeah, its always a temptation to call it 'the ditch' ;) spent the day carrying boxes of a equipment round yesterday unfortunately. probably safest to drop me a pm to arrange a time. as for the damage... parts + kebab? if you agree i'll try and order a crybaby pot. we can scoot over to maplins to get the sonic maximiser power cable parts. as for the big muff, i'll just have to wing that one.

If you're changing the pot in the Wah go for the Fulltone, if you can find it.   I can't believe the difference to the hot pot I had before.  The Fulltone is a lot quieter and sounds great.

I quickly drove down there this morning and he said he'll be able to fix the lot himself! They'll be ready end of the week, nice one!  :D
