Tim,
Im making a chambered lp and would like to get a lower dc resistance pup. I trying to choose between The VH2 and the Riff Raff. The guitar will have a black limba back and neck, maple top and pau ferro fretboard. Im thinking the riff raff has too much character for the smokey tone of limba. What's your take on this?

Hmmm, I've recently revoiced the Riff Raff, it's DC 8.1K with an Alnico V and I think would be great for your project. Also worth a look is the Mule, I've experience of fitting them first hand to limba and the tone was excellent. The VHII by comparison is very bright with not so much bass response as the other two although it is a touch hotter.

Alright Tim,
Since I've be reading posts in this forum, Im confident that you know exactly what your talking about. I'll listen to the clips again but Im pretty sure Im gonna trust you with the Riff Raff.
Thanks a lot.
