I'm looking to refit and upgrade my Epi SG, and I can't seem to find any. They must exist as the Platinum SG Special they did had them.
-
Do they have to be silver? Why not just white, cause they're easier to find, lol..

What's that supposed to mean? I'm trying my best! :(
-
He allready knows that - But he wants silver knobs else he would not have asked.... :|
He wouldn't have asked abuot silver knobs if he didn't know they were hard to find etc.
-
In my pants.
-
your knob is silver???
-
Aye, an unrelated spraypaint accident which i prefer not to speak of. :(

At least it's not solid silver. Could lead to tragedy if you ever get intimate with a lady werewolf. :(
-
You must blind people with it when you're standing by a urinal.
-
this needs reigning in...
not 100% sure, but check dimarzio... they have a great selection of knobs anway.

Are you saying I'm impotent? I demand satisfaction, I challenge you to a dual, sir! *gloveslap*

Eyes front, soldier!! :x
SERIOUS ANSWER: I have never seen silver speed knobs for sale anywhere.
This place sells Gibson and Epiphone spares though... (http://www.rosetti.co.uk/spares/pages/mainsparespages/knobs.htm)
-
\Me neither, but I have seen them on the front of old stereo's and things. Might be worth checking out a junk shop.

I've checked there.
They have all the 'cartoon' colours, like blue, etc. but no silver.

Can I choose the weapons? I'll do a Johnny Mac and say Kochs at 10 paces.
-
What about using Tele-style knobs instead? That'd certainly be different...
-
Schaller make a solid brass, chrome-plated speed knob. Not the same as the semi-matt finish on the Platinum, but would match if you have chrome hardware.
The only place I know that sells them is Touchstone Tonewoods (item 5151 on this catalogue page):

Those would look friggin' sweet with matching chrome hardware. 8)

Thanks for the links, I didn't want OTT shiny bling, and I was thinking of a brushed aluminium scratchplate, so I wanted knobs more in keeping with that. The Schaller matt chrome Tele knobs have potential.

To throw another site in the mix: http://www.axesrus.com/axenob.htm

they're my usual first port of call for cheap upgrade gear. I hadn't noticed that they had brushed chrome tele domes (it's off to the side of the main pic), I think that could be the way I go.

Looks good, aye. They pretty much have the same stock as another great site - www.guitarfetish.com - but are based in the UK and the site is nowhere near as well organised. The GF one is really good.
