Does this belong to (or used to belong to) anyone on here:
http://www.guitarvillage.co.uk/product-detail.asp?id=5961&catid=78&manid=119&quantity=1&product=Gibson+Les+Paul+1957+Gold+Top+Custom+Shop%2C+Gold+Top%2C+Pre%2DOwned%2C+EC+%2B%2C+Inc%2E+COA+%26+Case
I think it looks stunning (and I don't normally like goldtops).

just to let you know, when i was at coda picking up my les paul this weekend i saw they were selling 57's for the same price as that new.
-
But it has BKP's which is probably why it has a higher price.

That price is a bit high for an R7
with the $ rate as it is, you could find a brand new VOS for not a lot more and have a great choice from the states.
I managed to get a dark Back 03 Brazilian RW R7 , the BR from 03 are shooting up in price in the states

sorry does anyone know what year that guitar is?. If it's an 03 buy it immediately. Remember the R7 's have huge necks. Personally I love them but that size of neck is not everyone's taste

I'm gonna look stupid here but what is an R7/what does it mean?
-
its just the nicknames given to the reissues:
57 is R7
58 - R8
59 - R9
60 - R0
-
R6 is a Goldtop with P90s
R4? - Goldtop with original trapeze tailpiece????
and yes, the price is a bit steep if you're willing to import a GT from the US yourself.
-
R4 is the 54 reissue, wrapover tailpiece and two p90's
the R2 (now discontinued I think ) was the original trapeze style tailpiece
