Hello people :)
I'm currently gathering enough cash to replace all the pickups on my guitars with Bare Knuckles.
Here's the list of guitars so far:
- Ibanez PGM300 (Hell knows yet. Possibly a Satchy-shred sound would be cool)
- Ibanez Voyager (Planned for a Rebel Yell in the bridge) PURE \m/!
- Custom strat #1. Currently has Lindy Fralin coils and a SD JB in the bridge. It's a very sort of Journey tone of guitar, more of a soloist. H-S-S.
I'll post more for this.
- Custom strat #2. I just got this yesterday. Lindy Fralins in the neck and middle and an SD Duckbucker in the bridge. It's a more bluesy EJ sort of guitar.
Any ideas? If you can help as to what kind of pickups one can recommend that'd be most helpful.
I'll post pics of guitars soon.
Thanks :D

I asked Tim for the Paul Gilbert sound, and he replied:
Paul's tone usually comes from quite low output humbuckers with plenty of upper mid hence his great articulation and dynamic tone.He then uses quite a mid heavy tone from his amp to add even more weight to his single note work.Something like the VHII or even a Riff Raff is going to do this really well.
Maybe that'll help on your "Satchy-shred sound"
Plus, I replied to your message ages ago about MSN! I don't see you adding me!

So sorry dude I forgot about adding you.
Revising for GCSE's really puts your mind off things  .
Thanks for your help pal :D.
